3. HSC Chemistry

Emphasis is on the development of skills to implement learning.

Concepts of periodic table, chemical reactions, roll of energy in chemical reactions and enthalpy and entropy, are explained with calculations involving these concepts.

In final year of HSC, most of studies are on chemical equilibrium and its applications in industries. Further understanding is developed  about the structure of organic substances and use of advanced technology for the analysis of organic substances, with continuous assessment and practice of trial questions.

4. HSC Biology

We give students enough practice to achieve their high goals.

Biology is generally viewed as an ‘easy’ subject. However, to be a high achiever in this HSC subject, it requires careful exam technique and in-depth knowledge of all topic areas. In the biology, the use of scientific Terminology is essential in describing genetical concepts, biochemical processes, and environmental phenomena. We make sure students learn the right terminology and we greatly emphases and practice scientific descriptive language as expected by examiners and internet research.

“My cousin Channel advised me to join ‘Maths and Science Coaching Centre’. She attended it throughout her schooling and now she is in university studying Advance Medical Science. For the last three years I have been attending this centre. Ever since, I have been receiving exceptional results. Ruby is a very friendly and experienced tutor. She is exceptional in the way she teaches and is very clear and precise about her explanations. In addition, it is one-on-one tutoring that guarantees you that you will improve your understanding where you have difficulties. I strongly recommend anyone who needs further aid in Maths and Science.”

  • Yvonne Hermann

“Vanessa has highly benefited from the ‘Math and Science Coaching Centre’. In Year 9 class, she was facing difficulties keeping up with the rest of the students as she was maintaining a score of 40% on tests. With Ruby the tutor, Vanessa has deepened her knowledge in a range of Math topics that has brought her to scoring 80% on exams. She has strengthened her weaknesses in Probability and Algebra which has brought her to excel in class and produce pleasing results. For difficult math problems, various methods were given to see which way she preferred to solve a problem. This definitely helped Vanessa in class when her teacher only taught one method of solving problems. Vanessa has now developed more of an interest in Math than before and finds problems interesting and challenging. We would highly recommend this tuition program to anyone who believes their child is struggling for academic success.”

  • Claudia Easson
